** THIS EVENT IS SCHEDULED FOR EVERY FRIDAY - SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER - PLEASE SELECT DATE WHILE REGISTERING
Day 1- Kalga to Kheergana
The trail begins right from the backyard of our Holy Cow café and quickly enters into dense pine and deodar forest. An hour into the trek, we will come across a huge waterfall. The mighty Parvati river will be visible from few points. The trail winds up with a gentle slope to Kheerganga, a natural hot water spring. It is believed that Lord Shiva meditated here for 3000 years and during that period, Kheer (Indian dish) used to flow out from the spring. Take a dip in the hot water spring and relax for the day. We can explore a little more in evening. Night stay in tents.
Day 2- Kheerganga to Bunbuni Meadows
We will start early to enjoy the serenity of mornings, the best time to trek in the Himalayas. The trail winds up steeply for an hour and we will reach the vast Kungti Meadows. We can see our destination Bunbuni from Kungti. We will also be able to see a huge glacier coming down into the valley. After crossing the glacial stream we will head up on the other side of the mountain to enter the Chotti meadows. It is the highest point of the trek and view is mesmerizing. Bunbuni meadows is just a downhill walk from here. Reach Bunbuni meadows and set up camps. We can do some team activities later in the evening.
Day 3- Bunbuni Meadows to Kalga
The trail is completely downhill till Kalga. Within two hours, we’ll reach Holy Cow Café. You can take a bus back to Bhuntar from Barshini or stay back at the Cafe. The trip ends here with some happy memories and new friends.
